Annual Swedish Conference on Nuclear Power - Kärnteknikdagarna
The Swedish Conference on Nuclear Power focuses on safe and reliable operation, inspection and maintenance of nuclear power plants. Topics include safety policies, recent operational experiences, modernization, long-term operation, future developments and trends for nuclear stations in the Nordic countries. Nuclear energy is dominating the generation of electricity in Sweden and Finland, although a substantial part is also from hydropower.
The conference has been arranged annually since 1993 and gathers about 200 engineers from Sweden, Finland and countries in Northern Europe. Engineers and managers from the operators, regulators, suppliers, and consultants attend and speak at the symposium. The conference committee also invites lecturers from other countries and adjacent industrial areas, for the transfer of experiences and methods for safe and efficient operation. About a quarter of the presentations are given by international lecturers.
The conference has both plenary sessions and parallel sessions. The plenary sessions provide presentations on more general topics, covering fields such as safety policies and regulatory rules, operational experiences, long-term operation, modernization and future developments. Presentations given in the parallel sessions focus on specific subjects with more technical detail. We have sessions covering topics as: materials, structural integrity, thermohydraulics and dynamics, risk and safety analysis, quality assurance, inspection, maintenance and operational excellence.
The majority of the engineers that attend are working with issues related to safety, quality, structural integrity, inspection, and project management, in running nuclear stations and ongoing development projects. It is an appreciated event and an opportunity to meet and discuss different issues, challenges, technical questions and trends with other engineers.
Kiwa arranges several industry seminars each year where the participants network and stay up to date with the latest trends within their field. As an exhibitor you get the unique opportunity to meet qualified people from the entire industry in one place and to display your products and services to an interested audience.
The exhibition is the centre of the seminar where we enjoy coffee breaks, registration and mingle. Reserve your spot now.
