An organisation operating in accordance with the ISO 9001 standard and related standards in the area of environment (ISO 14001) and Health and Safety (ISO 45001) can measure and check the efficiency of its quality management system with internal audits. The monitoring of a quality management system is headed by the lead auditor. This is an experienced auditor with advanced knowledge of the relevant standards and processes who masters the skills required to be a leader. You will learn these skills during the Lead Auditor Course (LAC) by Kiwa Training.
The training for lead auditor is intended for the (internal) auditor, consultant or quality officer. The ISO 9001 standard is also the basis for many quality management standards in the healthcare system, such as the HKZ standard (Harmonisation of the Quality Assessment in the Healthcare Industry). This course is therefore also perfectly suited for the healthcare industry. At the start of the training, you are expected to have experience of performing internal audits.
The ISO 9001:2015 Standard is part of this ‘blended learning’ course. You will learn the basic principles of the ISO 9001 Standard.
Goal
The Lead Auditor course is an intensive course in which you will further develop the skills and knowledge required for performing quality management systems audits. The added value of the role of lead auditor is emphasised. You will learn to assess a quality management system from different viewpoints and using different methods, so that afterwards you will be able to make a substantial contribution to the result of the organisation to be audited. After the course, you will be able to efficiently prepare an audit, lead an audit team and objectively gather evidence for the audit in accordance with the ISO/IEC 17021 standard. You will use Kiwa models and procedures for quality system certification.
