In addition to individual growers, growers associations can also use Kiwa AQS to monitor the quality of the products of the growers affiliated to the association. Based on the agreed protocol, Kiwa AQS periodically visits the cultivation companies. These are usually unannounced visits during which the batches ready for delivery are tested against the (customer) specifications that apply.
Making adjustments to deliver the desired quality is often part of the assignment to Kiwa AQS. In the case of orders from growers associations, Kiwa AQS can be given the mandate to formally reject products/batches if they do not meet specific requirements. In addition to a visual assessment of the external and internal quality and the presence of diseases and defects, other aspects can also be checked, such as sizing, content weight, hardness, °Brix, palletization and indications.
All findings of the assessments at cultivation companies are digitally registered and fed back in reports for the client of Kiwa AQS. They are stored in a database, so that the data can also be used for trend analyzes and mutual comparisons by means of dashboards. GMO-recognized growers associations may be eligible for a number of the Kiwa AQS activities mentioned.
