About Gastec QA certification and testing

Kiwa operates as an internationally recognized organization, offering the Testing and Certification service in accordance with the Gastec QA Standard. The brand, independent and issued exclusively by Kiwa, is valid in the Netherlands.

The products and materials intended for gas supply must meet high quality and safety standards, in compliance with current requirements. The Gastec QA Testing and Certification service is a guarantee of quality not only of the product itself thanks to the approval tests carried out in our EN 17025 accredited laboratories, but also of all stages of the production process.

In fact, to obtain the Gastec QA mark, the product must meet a series of requirements formulated to ensure not only the quality of the component, but also its production process. This guarantees constant supervision of the entire life path of the product, thus helping to prevent the production of material that is not in line with the quality and safety required by the market.

In addition, our expert committee, made up of various operators in the sector, follows the entire certification process, ensuring compliance with the basic requirements for obtaining the brand.

How to obtain the Gastec QA certification

  1. Request to Kiwa to conduct a test programme, providing the necessary samples and supporting information for the evaluation and approval process.
  2. Planning of surveillance and control activities on the production process.
  3. Delivery by Kiwa of the approval test report and the appropriate GASTEC QA certificate.
  4. After the certificate has been issued, the certification is maintained through periodic inspections of the manufacturing process and the manufactured products.
