The two-day ATEX Basic course module 001 has been developed for operational employees who work with or carry out maintenance on ATEX installations and machines. The first day of the course students learn everything about the basic principles of explosion safety, ignition sources, safety measures and procedures, etc.
Course price
€ 810 per participant.
Target group
The second course day is the internationally recognized exam IECEx 05 module 001. This happens - at the same location - by an independent exam office. Students who successfully complete the exam will receive an attestation (or certificate) valid for three years. Prior to the course, students must have followed the e-learning ATEX Awareness. This is included in the course costs.

This concerns a training at MBO level.
Study load and material
Study load
- Two-day classroom course, on location at Kiwa in Nieuwegein or Apeldoorn (also in-company is possible, ask for the possibilities);
- First course day from 8.30 to 17.00, second course day 8.30 to 12.00;
- The IECEx 05 module 001 exam starts at 13.30 and lasts until 16.00 at the latest;
- The total study load is 20 hours.

- Gas and dust explosions;
- Ignition sources;
- Explosion-proof equipment and requirements;
- Signaling and marking;
- Explosion safety measures;
- Safety procedures;
- Work permit for an explosive atmosphere.

e-learning ATEX Awareness
Do you work in an environment with an increased explosion risk and do you therefore need to know about ATEX legislation and regulations? The ATEX Awareness course, based on the international standard IECEx 05 module 000, can be followed entirely online and is also the perfect basis for other ATEX training courses.

ATEX Management training

During this interactive, practically oriented training, participants obtain relevant knowledge about explosion risks and learn what their own tasks and responsibilities are.

During this training, participants learn how to design and apply ATEX requirements when creating a design and to make a risk analysis based on this.
