Sanitary tapware: Mechanical mixers (BRL-K607)
Kiwa Watermark certification under Kiwa evaluation guideline BRL K607 applies to mechanical mixers intended for application in drinking water installations with a static water pressure of maximum 1000 kPa and a maximum water temperature of 90°C. The recommended limits for correct operation are a dynamic pressure between 100 kPa and 500 kPa and a water temperature of maximum 65°C.

Thermostatic Mixing Valves (BRL-K610)
Kiwa Watermark certification under Kiwa evaluation guideline BRL K610 applies to thermostatic mixing valves intended for application in tap water installations with a static water pressure of maximum 1000 kPa and a maximum water temperature of 90°C.
The thermostatic mixing valves can be distinguished in:
- sanitary thermostatic mixing valves for domestic use;
- safety valves to be used in (health-) care premises.
Sanitary thermostatic mixing valves for domestic use can be divided in the following types:
- bath/shower mixing valve;
- shower mixing valve;
- wash basin mixing valve;
- bidet mixing valve;
- sink mixing valve;
- centrally located thermostatic mixing units (central thermostatic mixers).
The recommended limits for correct operation of sanitary thermostatic mixing valves are a dynamic pressure between 100kPa and 500 kPa and a maximum water temperature of 65°C.
Thermostatic safety mixing valves to be used in (health-) care premises use can be divided in the following types:
- wash basin mixing valve;
- bidet mixing valve;
- shower mixing valve;
- bath mixing valve.
The recommended limits for correct operation of thermostatic safety valves are a dynamic pressure between 20kPa and 100 kPa, respectively 100 and 500 kPa, and a maximum water temperature of 65°C.

Sanitary Tapware; single taps and mixer taps (BRL-K652)
Kiwa Watermark certification under Kiwa evaluation guideline BRL K610 applies to single taps and mixer taps are intended for application in drinking water installations with a static water pressure of maximum 1000 kPa and a maximum water temperature of 90°C. The recommended limits for correct operation are a dynamic pressure between 100 kPa and 500 kPa and a water temperature of maximum 65°C.
The evaluation guideline BRL K652 is a certification scheme for the Kiwa product certificate for Sanitary tapware, single taps and mixer taps.
Thermostatic regulating valves (BRL-K14003)
Kiwa Watermark certification under Kiwa evaluation guideline BRL K14003 applies to products intended to be used in circulation systems in tap water installations, with a maximum operating pressure of 1000 kPa and a maximum water temperature of 90°C.
After commissioning, a pre-set minimum temperature upstream of the regulating valve is maintained, while maintaining the hydraulic balance.

Innerhoses to be used for flexible connecting hoses (BRL-K14006)
Kiwa Watermark certification under Kiwa evaluation guideline BRL K14006 applies to products intended to be used as inner hoses of flexible connecting hoses as meant in the Kiwa evaluation guideline BRL-K622 ‘Flexible connecting hoses’.
These flexible connecting hoses are designed for using in drinking water installations with a maximum water pressure of 1000 kPa and a maximum water temperature of 90 ⁰C.
The evaluation guideline BRL K14006 is a certification scheme for the Kiwa product certificate for inner hoses to be used for flexible connecting hoses.
Head parts to be used for sanitary tapware (BRL-K14007)
Kiwa Watermark certification under Kiwa evaluation guideline BRL K14007 applies to head parts intended to be used as part of sanitary tapware as meant in the following Kiwa evaluation guidelines, for which a separate Kiwa product certificate has been issued:
- BRL-K610 ‘Thermostatic mixing valves’
- BRL-K644 ‘Bib taps with integrated vacuum breaker’
- BRL-K652 ‘Sanitary Tapware; single taps and mixer taps’
The head parts are designed for using in drinking-water installations with a maximum water pressure of 1000 kPa and a maximum water temperature of 90°C.

Cartridges to be used for sanitary tapware: Mechanical mixers (BRL-K14008)

Kiwa Watermark certification under Kiwa evaluation guideline BRL K14029 applies to products intended to be used as part of Thermostatic Mixing Valves as meant in the Kiwa evaluation guideline BRL-K610. The cartridges are designed for use in drinkingwater installations with a maximum water pressure of 1000 kPa.

Kiwa Thermostatic Mixing Valve Certification (TMV type 2 and 3)
Kiwa Thermostatic Mixing Valve Certification covers products for compliance against:
- Type 2 TMV: This is a thermostatic mixing valve defined by UK Building Regulations as complying with BS EN 1111 or BS EN 1287 for use within commercial or domestic premises.
- Type 3 TMV: This is a thermostatic mixing valve defined by NHS Regulations as complying with DO8 for use within any building which falls under the NHS Regulations including hospital and any health care premises.
Shut-off valves
Stop- and connecting cocks (BRL-K604)
Kiwa Watermark certification under Kiwa evaluation guideline BRL K604 applies to
- stop cocks with disc, with a nominal diameter up to DN 100,
- other stop cocks with a nominal diameter up to DN50,
- connecting cocks with a nominal diameter up to DN 15.
Stop- and connecting cocks are designed to be used in tap water installations with a maximum working pressure of 1000 kPa and a water temperature with a maximum of 65°C. Using the products in water installations with a water temperature up to 90°C is possible. However, this may influence the durability of some parts and the contact temperature of the operation handle.
The evaluation guideline BRL K604 is a certification scheme for the Kiwa product certificate for stop- and connecting cocks.
Laboratory taps (BRL-K608)
Kiwa Watermark certification under Kiwa evaluation guideline BRL K608 applies to applies to taps whose shape and / or design are intended for use in laboratories. Laboratory faucets can be used for tap water applications with an operating pressure of up to 1000 kPa and a water temperature of up to 90°C. The recommended limits for correct operation are a working pressure between 100 and 500 kPa and a water temperature of maximum 65°C.

Drain taps (BRL-K613)
Kiwa Watermark certification under Kiwa evaluation guideline BRL K613 applies to drain taps for water are intended for emptying closed drinking water installations or parts thereof. The drain valves are suitable for installation on appliances in drinking water installations with an operating pressure up to 1000 kPa at a water temperature up to 65°C. Occasional use with a water temperature up to 90°C is possible if limited to a maximum of 1 consecutive hour. Use of the drain cocks in mains water systems with a continuous temperature higher than 65°C is possible, but this will affect the durability of parts as well as the temperature of the control device.

Sanitary tapware: frost resistant outdoor taps with wall passage (BRL-K14001)
Kiwa Watermark certification under Kiwa evaluation guideline BRL K14001 applies to frost resistant outdoor taps with wall passage are intended for application in drinking water installations with a static water pressure of maximum 1000 kPa and a maximum water temperature of 90°C.
The recommended limits for correct operation are a dynamic pressure between 100 kPa and 500 kPa and a water temperature of maximum 65°C.
The frost resistant outdoor taps with wall passage are designed in such a way that drainage of the installation in case of frost is not necessary, due to positioning of the obturator behind or partly in the wall.

Electronic opening and closing sanitary tapware (BRL-K14018)

The recommended limits for correct operation are a dynamic pressure between 100kPa and 500kPa and a water temperature of maximum 65ºC.

Sanitary Tapware Automatic shut-off (mixing) valves (BRL-K669)
Kiwa Watermark certification under Kiwa evaluation guideline BRL K669 applies to automatic shut-off (mixing) valves are intended for application in drinking water installations with a static water pressure of maximum 1000 kPa and a maximum water temperature of 90ºC. The recommended limits for correct operation are a dynamic pressure between 100 kPa and 500 kPa and a water temperature of maximum 65ºC.
The evaluation guideline BRL K669 is a certification scheme for the Kiwa product certificate for Sanitary Tapware ‘Automatic shut-off (mixing) valves’.
Flow rate limiters for sanitary taps (BRL-K635)
Kiwa Watermark certification under Kiwa evaluation guideline BRL K635 applies to flow rate limiters designed to be used for limiting and maintaining a constant flow rate, independent from the working pressure in the drinking water installations. They can be used in drinking water installations with working pressures between 50 and1000kPa and a water temperature with a maximum of 65°C.
Using the products in water installations with an occasional water temperature up to 90°C is possible. However, this may influence the durability and performance of the product. The recommended limits for correct operation of the products are a dynamic pressure between 100 kPa and 500 kPa and a water temperature of maximum 65°C.
The evaluation guideline BRL K635 is a certification scheme for the Kiwa product certificate for flow rate limiters.
Stopcocks with integrated check valve (BRL-K665)
Kiwa Watermark certification under Kiwa evaluation guideline BRL K665 applies to products intended to be used as stopcocks with integrated check valve, except for stopcocks with membrane or plug, serve to close pipes intended for the transport of water in drinking water installations with an operating pressure of no more than 1000 kPa and a water temperature of no more than 90ºC.
The integrated check valve is intended as a safety device to prevent contamination of drinking water installations.
