The energy performance of a heat pump can be determined according to the NTA 8800, which is based on the European standards EN 16147 and EN 14825/EN 14511. The efficiency of the heat pump will be expressed in terms of the coefficient of performance (COP).
Kiwa is an Empowered Certification Body and Recognized Test Center for Heat Pump KEYMARK. This means Kiwa’s heat pump experts can test equipment and components against applicable standards and provide manufacturers with the HP KEYMARK certificate.
Heat pumps intended for the EU market must comply with the requirements of the applicable European legislation and regulations. One of these requirements concerns the sound power, which is assessed based on the standard EN 12102-1 and -2.
