This service is used by local authorities and highways agencies. 

Kiwa CMT is accredited to carry out Testing and Analysis to BS 3247:2011 on all 3 types of salt used in winter maintenance.

  • Rock Salt which is derived from mining natural salt beds
  • Marine Salts derived from solar evaporation of sea water
  • Vacuum Salt which is a pure salt prepared by the evaporation under vacuum of brine
