What you need to know
Stability control of temporary event structures (tents, stages, artworks, grandstands, LED screens)
Vinçotte civil engineering experts (part of the Kiwa group) visually inspect the general stability of temporary stands, scaffolding, stage structures and erected tent constructions, and LED screens for events. They also check that calculations have been carried out in accordance with current standards.
In some cases, and for some jobs, assembly instructions must be inspected in advance. Without the provision of the calculation or construction book for the tent or temporary structure, as required by the Belgian standard: NBN EN 13782, the experts will be limited in their research, and this will consequently be mentioned in the report. Reports must be submitted at least two weeks before the event.
If you don't have any installation instructions, the experts can advise you on how to set them up, and on the standards and guidelines to be observed.
Reviewing the dossier and stability calculations
Vinçotte's experts will carry out a review of the construction file and stability calculations for you, as required by law via Belgian standard NBN EN 13782.
Visual inspection of tent structures equipped with ground anchors
This type of inspection involves test loads on the ground anchors around extended tents and higher frame tents. These test loads are required for all terrain in Belgium, in accordance with the Belgian standard: NBN EN 13782.
Given the importance of these tests in determining the number of ground anchors required, Vinçotte experts carry out a number of ground anchor test loads each time, so as to be able to accurately estimate the exact number of ground anchors needed.
