This service is intended for all companies working with lifting equipment.
What you need to know
Commissioning inspection for new lifting equipment: Our experts check whether your lifting equipment complies with the requirements of the Machinery Directive (2006/42/EC) and associated directives. This inspection is not intended to check compliance with the requirements of the "Work Equipment" directive, but instead provides for a thorough inspection to ensure that glaring defects do not compromise user safety, and that the installation is properly placed on the market.
In the case of recommissioning, the aim is to check that the lifting equipment is safe enough to be put back into service after modifications, alterations or repairs carried out by the user, within the framework of the Work Equipment Directive (89/655/EEC, Royal Decree of 12/08/1933; and 95/63/EC, Royal Decree of 04/05/1999). In these cases, the user can become the manufacturer.
During periodic inspections, our inspectors check that the device and all safety devices are still in good condition and that environmental influences which could lead to deterioration are not likely to create dangerous situations.
