Fires and explosions can have disastrous consequences, often exacting a heavy economic toll or even costing lives. Especially when working with CNG installations, the danger of explosion requires extra attention.
Vinçotte conducts a risk analysis to minimize the explosion hazard in your company and advises you on measures you can take to optimize fire safety.
What you need to know
More about explosion risk analysis for CNG installations:
Vinçotte verifies whether at least the following measures have been taken in your explosion-prone environment:
- The number of hazard zones must be minimized.
- The use of electrical and non-electrical equipment must be avoided as much as possible in the hazard zones.
- It must always be ensured that electrical and non-electrical equipment cannot lead to ignition.
- Your personnel must have received the proper training and be adequately informed about potential hazards.
Additionally, based on a risk analysis, an explosive safety document (EVD) must be drawn up, and you must be able to provide a fire safety report and zoning plans signed by both you as the operator and by an accredited inspection body.
