Through laboratory testing and meticulous evaluation, we certify products as either "flustix LESS PLASTICS" or "flustix PLASTIC FREE - CONTENT MICROPLASTIC-FREE," depending on their product category and plastic content.
flustix LESS PLASTICS seals
All production stages along the supply chain are certifiable, from consumer goods to products, semi-finished products, raw materials and packaging. To clearly declare the certified goods to end consumers, business partners and/or other affected parties, the labeling is done according to four specific categories:
- TOTAL PRODUCT: This flustix seal evaluates both the product and its packaging. Each component is independently assessed and must meet specific criteria in its respective category to qualify for successful certification of the total product.
- PACKAGING: Plastic in consumer goods packaging can often be significantly reduced. Packaging that is at least 95% plastic-free is eligible for the green seal based on PPWR.
* To promote innovation, seal graphics and certificates declare verified plastic contents of maximum 3.5% or 2% upon successful certification.
- PRODUCT: This flustix certification seal is for plastic-sustainable products (without packaging) and its certification requirements are based on the specific product category.
* Seal shows exemplary limit value. Specific limits apply for each certified product category: General max. 0.2%, exceptions for virgin fibre products max. 2% with declaration of max. 1.25% or 0.75% plastic content and recycled fibre products max. 3%. flustix LESS PLASTICS certification scheme, Edition: July 2024.
