ATEX Management training

During the ATEX2 Management training of ATEXcertificaat.nl daily practice is key. National and international laws and guidelines such as the Dutch working conditions act and ATEX 153 are explained on the basis of recognizable case studies. During the training there is plenty of room for interaction, so the participants can immediately link explosion risks to measures to be taken in their own organization. In a relatively short time all aspects of ATEX are discussed and participants are included in the tasks and responsibilities they have as managers in an environment with potentially explosive zones.

ATEXcertificaat.nl’s ATEX2 Management training has been developed for managers in organizations with zones that are defined as potentially explosive. Before they can participate in this training, participants must have successfully completed the e-learning ATEX Awareness (more information and registration).

After attending the ATEX2 Management training participants have general knowledge about explosion risks that they can immediately apply in their own organization. After the training, the participant is aware of the duties and responsibilities he has as a manager within the framework of the Dutch occupational health and safety act and the European ATEX 153 guideline. The training is concluded with a final test. Participants who complete this successfully will receive a certificate that is valid for three years.

The ATEX2 Management training of ATEXcertificaat.nl is built around the following topics:

• Substantive knowledge regarding ATEX (including assignments);
• Relevant legislation and regulations (national, international and on the shop floor);
• Explosion safety document (EVD) (structure, content);
• Working safely in a zoned environment (what is possible, what is not possible and why);
• Employer and employee obligations (tasks, powers and responsibilities).
