ASI’s PCQI Food Safety Training
Stay Up to Date with the Latest Food Safety Regulations
In the dynamic world of food safety, staying updated with the latest regulations and best practices is crucial. To help brands stay ahead of the curve, ASI Food Safety (member of Kiwa Group since 2022) hosts several in-person and virtual courses each year to serve a variety of industries, such as food and beverage, dietary supplements, cannabis, and other consumer goods. One of their most popular courses is Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) Training.
PCQI Training has emerged as a valuable program that equips food and beverage professionals with the necessary skills to ensure the safety of our food supply. As a part of the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), food and beverage processing facilities are required to have at least one certified PCQI to lead the creation, application, and verification of risk-based preventative controls.
Virtual 3 Day PCQI Training
For years, ASI Food Safety has offered this course to help satisfy the FDA’s training requirements, and next month, August 14th-16th, ASI is hosting the course once again. ASI’s PCQI training, FSMA Preventive Controls for Human Food, is designed to empower professionals with the ability to develop and implement effective food safety plans, perform risk assessments, and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, such as the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) principles.
These courses are always taught by Lead Instructors trained by the FSPCA to teach the FDA-recognized standardized curriculum. The August virtual course is being taught by Lindsey Bowen, who has 10 years of experience in the food & beverage manufacturing industry.
Course registration is $599 and is limited to 15 participants. Following completion of all modules in the three-day course, participants will receive an official FSPCA Preventive Controls Qualified Individual certificate issued by the Association of Food and Drug Officials (AFDO).
Invest in Your Company’s Commitment to Food Safety
As the food industry continues to evolve, PCQI training remains a critical investment for both individuals seeking to enhance their careers and businesses striving to meet the highest standards of food safety. Preventive Controls Qualified Individuals play a pivotal role in preventing foodborne illnesses. Having a trained PCQI enhances a company's ability to pass audits and inspections and maintain a competitive edge in the market. Investing in PCQI training also demonstrates a commitment to food safety and positions businesses as responsible industry leaders.
