Kiwa Sweden merges with Valiguard
Kiwa Sweden merges with Valiguard, a company specialised in food safety and organic certification of food producers e.g. against BRC, IFS and ISO/FSSC 22000. The acquisition is part of Kiwa's growth strategy to strengthen its position on the Swedish market.
Strengthening our competence
Kiwa and Valiguard are two leading companies that have long offered certification services for the Swedish market in the fields of food safety, biological treatment and production of food, management systems and other certifications. Together, the companies will increase their expertise.
"This is fully in line with our growth strategy," says Hans Lindahl, CEO for Kiwa Certification in Sweden. "We are strengthening our competence; Valiguard is highly competent in international food safety standards and we at Kiwa have a broad competence in national standards in the same category, in addition to our organic certification and certification of management systems."
Excellence throughout the chain
Kiwa Sweden's portfolio will be strengthened with various international standards such as BRC Food, FSSC 22000 and IFS. The agreement covers all of Valiguard's activities. The company will continue to operate as a legal entity. "The merger is good for both Valiguard's and Kiwa's customers and for the market as a whole. Together we can offer excellence throughout the chain: from farm to fork," says Josefine Liew, CEO of Valiguard AB.
