FSSC 22000 publishes certification scheme version 5

The FSSC 22000 foundation has recently published version 5 of the FSSC 22000 certification scheme. FSSC 22000 is one of the world leading food safety management systems. From January 1, 2020 all audits will be conducted according to this new version.

Important changes

One of the important changes is that FSSC 22000 has followed the recent revision of the ISO 22000 standard, which took place on June 18, 2018. The new FSSC 22000 version uses the high-level structure (HLS), the common structure for all new ISO standards for management systems. This important integration facilitates the integration of the FSSC standard with management system standards such as ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 14001 (environment) and ISO 45001 (health and safety at work).
