Festive opening of new Kiwa Fire Lab
In November we will open our new, state-of-the-art Fire Lab in Apeldoorn in the Netherlands. To celebrate this, we are hosting the seminar “Better safe than sorry! How to deal with complexity and integrality or future trends?" on November 13. During this event, well known experts will guide you through the ever-changing world of the technology of the future and its accompanying risks.
New Fire Lab
Kiwa Fire-safety & Security Products enables easy market access for everyone who wants to introduce electrical or electronic equipment – related to fire safety, security or EMC – to the European market or even the world. With the realization of our new Fire Lab, we will have more extensive test facilities at our disposal, including a fire chamber and a smoke tunnel. With the availability of these facilities we can offer our clients a one-stop-shop principle. We will considerably expand the scope of activities under the CPR and thus the European EN54 series of product standards.
Future trends in fire-safety and security
Technological developments follow each other at a rapid pace. Everything and everyone is hyperconnected and everything can be seen, found and influenced remotely. Big data, artificial intelligence and machine learning make it possible to predict and prevent events. These trends also affect how the fire-safety and security market will develop.
Issues relating to (fire) safety and (fire) security are becoming more and more complex and we need to look at them integrally. But because of the increasing complexity and integrality, it is almost impossible to give substance to a concept on your own. Apart from the fact that we can solve everything technologically, it's about the fact that we need a different mindset that we have to work better together in the chain.
On our event on November 13, speakers will share their vision and elaborate on the possibilities for the future. The event is all about sharing knowledge and collaborating throughout the entire chain; a perfect opportunity to network with like-minded people from The Netherlands and beyond.
