In the legally mandatory area, certification is your proof of compliance with the required requirements. In the voluntary area, certification allows you to stand out from your competitors and show that your product has been tested and evaluated by an independent body and that it is a high-quality and safe product.

Internationally, our certification body works with various partners to offer you worldwide certifications from a single source. As an IEC CB certification body, you benefit from international recognition that also supports you in national approvals.

Certification procedure:

The certification process begins with the application, after which the applicant agrees to the necessary conditions of the certification process. After our experts have reviewed the application, we will send you an order confirmation.

After that, all necessary documents and information have to be provided for the assessment.

The contract regulates the relationship between the applicant and the certification body. If your product has not yet been tested by an accredited institute, the necessary conformity tests can be carried out in our independent testing laboratory. The certification process is completed with the issuing of the certificate and its monitoring by the certification body.

Plant certification

As an accredited certification body, we issue simplified system certificates type B according to VDE-AR-N 4110.

BG certification of electrical equipment

The type-tested (BG) certification of the electrical safety of electrical equipment ensures that your product complies with all safety-relevant standards for the intended use. With our test mark and the annual production site monitoring, you demonstrate conformity awareness and increase the quality of your product.

What does "Bauart Geprüft" mean?

The voluntary Primara "Bauart Geprüft" mark confirms that the marked product meets the safety requirements. The manufacture of this product is regularly inspected and monitored in the manufacturer's production facility.

The Primara "Bauart Geprüft" mark thus makes an important contribution to consumer protection and ensures that safe products reach the market.

Grid Code Compliance (GCC) at the low-voltage level

There are a large number of standards and guidelines worldwide for the use of decentralised self-generation units and systems. In accordance with the grid connection guidelines of the various grid operators and associations, the conformity of these guidelines is confirmed in order to ensure a smooth grid connection of the plants.

CB Certification (Certification Body)

A CB test report from a CBTL and a corresponding CB certificate from our NCB help you meet a wide range of international safety requirements and gain access to marketing in over 50 countries. We offer you both from a single source and test your products according to both IEC standards and country-specific deviations.

EZE/EZA certification (medium voltage) of photovoltaic inverters

Our unit certification according to FGW TR8 covers all types of decentralised generation units. In addition to proof of conformity based on type testing following FGW TR3, validation of the unit model is carried out by FGW TR4. This certification programme serves to confirm compliance with the BDEW guideline for self-generation units on the medium-voltage grid. Certification of the electrical properties of decentralised generation units and systems ensures that your product is compliant with the grid connection rules and does not place an impermissible load on the public electricity grid.

GS Certification

The globally recognised GS mark is a certification proof of compliance with the safety standards of the German Product Safety Act (ProdSG). The GS certification integrates the requirements of many national and European directives.

Kiwa Primara is recognised by the Central Authority of the Federal States for Safety Technology (ZLS) - therefore we can offer you a German test mark with a high recognition value and market acceptance, which certifies the special quality and safety of your products.
