New evaluation criteria for products in contact with drinking water (KTW-BWGL)

On 21st March 2019, the Federal Environment Agency (UBA) published the new evaluation criteria for plastics and other organic materials in contact with drinking water (KTW-BWGL) in the Bundesanzeiger.

After a transitional period of 2 years, this criteria will replace the previous recommendations for organic materials, the KTW guideline, the coating guideline and the lubricants guideline. This means that from 21st March 2021, all approvals and test certificates issued in accordance with the previous recommendations will lose their validity.
